View Full Version : Now That's What I call Music Vols.1 - 60 - Does anybody have the set? BoppinBruce 26-07-2005, 15:15 'Now That's What I Call Music' vol 61 is on current release, does anybody have the first 60? if not, how many do you have? Strix 26-07-2005, 15:20 I think my sister got custody of our original ones :( We stopped buying them in the late eighties/early ninetees when they got a bit 'specialised' and their sales tailed off.... BoppinBruce 26-07-2005, 15:26 So, Strix, Do I take it you have none? sheff_minx 26-07-2005, 15:31 I think i have got 35 - 40 on cassette and then up to 45 on CD. Then I became too cool for pop music :) Strix 26-07-2005, 15:47 Yup, but funnily enough, I don't think my sister has a turntable to play them on :P (I do) Chris_Sleeps 26-07-2005, 18:11 I remember my friends parents having really early ones (i think they had 1-15 or something like that) and being amazed. I only own three, Now 24, 26 and 27 - full of mid 90's classics. :D Chris. BoppinBruce 27-07-2005, 08:17 Thanx for your replies. I don't actually want them, heaven forbid I am an old greabo, but just wondered if anybody had collected the lot. 21steve 27-07-2005, 08:22 no ive never really liked them, they have to cater for lots of tastes, hence why you always like the same sides of tapes each year, im a 1 and 3 man! but i am very proud to have now thats what i call music. vol 1 on vinyl! lovabulrogue 27-07-2005, 08:35 I know where you can get every album 1-60 on mp3 for £8.00. robbie 27-07-2005, 13:26 i have no.1 and a couple more from when I was a kid (child cruelty) CorpG 27-07-2005, 18:58 We have Now Thats What I Call Music Vol. II on cassette somewhere. bellis 27-07-2005, 20:23 i know some of the now albums go for vast amounts of money ,whos daft enough to pay 45 quid for now 23 ? Mathom 27-07-2005, 21:45 I've still got Vols 1 to 3, and even though I went off them rapidly when I was a teenager (being too cool for school and all that kind of thing) I wish I had them all now! I've been trying to gather some of the old pop from the 80s/90s for my mp3 player - makes a change from all the 'challenging' stuff I usually listen to. ;) The fact that you could have something truly weird and fantastic next to something dreadful was always a good point in their favour. But they never had any Madonna or Jacko songs on them! coopster1974 28-07-2005, 10:15 Originally posted by lovabulrogue I know where you can get every album 1-60 on mp3 for £8.00. Me too - buy it, sell it, love it! Did the dj'ing for my wifes birthday last year and needed a shedload of popular 80's/90's songs double quick time. Took ages transferring to CD though. Bargain for what I paid though. Sidla 28-07-2005, 13:57 Mod note: This thread is to discuss the Now back catalogue only.
