she did a runner out of the front door which is not like her as she stays by "L"s side all the time, but it was "A" that opened the door..oops

Has she posted on the lost dogs forums?

they have helpers in the area and the sooner you get posters circulated the better. It really saddens me when I hear of small dogs going missing as they are more likely to be picked up and taken home with the intention of keeping them. If it was a large breed running around they tend to be ignored by members of the public but smaller dogs get the ahhhhhrrrggghhh factor and "mum can we keep him".

On a good note there was a little JR went missing near me and posters were immediately circulated, someone did take her in with the intention of keeping her, but they were spotted walking her by an old lady who had spotted the poster and the owner got their dog back.

Get some posters up everywhere you can possibly can stick them.

I hope your friend gets her back soon.
