i hate Big Brother. not the people, not the directors, just the fact that it is ALWAYS on the television at times when most normal people are ready to sit down to be entertained.
I therefore believe that BB should be confined to the satellite channels. Let E4 run 24hour airings, let those who make it their own conscious choice to watch a fistful of strangers sleep/moan/ponce about and let channel 4 play the programmes I used to enjoy before my Panasonic became polluted.
so...what do you all think? Should Big Brother only be aired to those who can skip to channel 164? Freeview is cheap to purchase nowadays, so the hardened fans can still get their fix...
People (mainly women) are so quick to complain when football is on during the Championships so shouldn't the same people who watch Big Brother (mainly women) be subject to the same conditions?

I am a woman.... I have no complaints about when football is aired.... only complaint is that Big Brother drives me NUTS and would be happy to see it moved out and some decent programmes moved back in.

Surely it's just outlasted its welcome? I mean, the contestants just get worse every year....

It's really really boring. I switch on to watch a camera fixed on someone sleeping. Watching a screen saver on a computer is more entertaining.

From 7 am until 12 am it's on for under 3 hours and one hour of that is a repeat showing of the previous nights episode.

Oh come on, its harmless. As for being on "when most normal people are ready to sit down to be entertained", well its 'news' program is on between 5:35 and 6, and the highlights program for an hour at ten. Every thing else is on cable/freeview/etc. An hour and a half is no more than other programs you don't happen to like get every day so why aren't you complaining htat channel 4 doesn't show stuff you like 24 hours a day?

Its because its a matter of taste my friend, I'm not always keen on it, so I don't watch it. I seem to be capable of avoiding it if I want to.

And notice the debate its sparked on this thread! Surely that justifies its existence within society?

If every other footpath on every other road had dog sh*t at every 10 paces, would you still feel happy with having to 'avoid' it? much like my footpaths, I'd like the owners of BB to bundle the show into a small plastic bag and dump it in the archives along with every 'TV Bloopers' show.
I only watch TV when I am getting ready in the morning and when I am going to bed...why not keep these shows for bored housewives/husbands and the terminally unemployable.
I'm not just expressing my distaste for its air time, but the fact that every tabloid newspaper in the country rates the presence of Orlaith's boobs over the stories relating to terrorism in our own country.
Its hard to sit in a pub without someone asking 'who do you think is going to win?'....the fact here, people, is that while this show airs....we are all losers.

i don't watch it all, i just get fed up of it all over the tabloids & taking up space on t programs & schedules.

I manage to avoid it on the telly (except the ads for it) but it really hacks me off when the radio presenters prattle on about it too :mad:

i can proudly say ive not watched a single bit of bb at all for me theres nothing more scary than turning into a bb bore

no way big brother is fantastic im sure if you watch from the beginning you will really get in to it it takes a while when it first starts has you dont know the people they either grow on you or you want them out so evict them.some of the things bb makes them do are really funny keep it going it entertains me no end

It is nearly as alarming as a tornado that so many people are 'affected' by this transmitted garbage that they become obsessed to the point of stupidity with it's "storylines".
