Gotta love the albino kings!

Have you got any pics? Are ALL the scales black in colour? if it's a Mexican Black King then there will be no trace of white whatsoever.

This is a 'Black' King, sometimes known as a 'Night' Kingsnake.

Thanks for the pic of the 3rd one - with a rat hanging out of it's mouth - not what I really wanted to see on a pet forum

Why not its only like a dog eating its food or a cat cutely eating a bird at least that was a defrost and not a live rat.

Why is it any different to Rabbit flavoured dog or cat food? A snake constricting and eating it's prey is one of the most amazing sights in the natural world.

Back on topic.

That my friend, is a properly interesting specimen. It's definately not a Mexican Black King, but neither does it look like a Night King, as I don't think these have any sort of banding.

It might be a 'Blotched' Kingsnake? (http://www.thekingsnake.co.uk/images/blotched_kingsnake_Magnetic_blues_large.jpg) Proper name - Lampropeltis getula goini

My dog eats tinned meat and biscuits - not whole animals!! And even if she did - I would not be sad enough to post a pic of her with half a rabbit hanging out of her mouth on a pet lovers forum!!

If you like to see snakes killing and eating things then that is your choice - don't ram it down other people's throats by posting pics of the like on here - or at least give some indication of the content and then people can choose whether they want to view it or not!! As for my dog and her food - even if she did eat whole rabbits I would not post pics on here of her with half a rabbit hanging out of her mouth!! - No likeness whatsoever.

Did you carefully select those photos to show your snakes eating little furries???????? How grown up !!

Wow what stunning snakes. I really find them amazing creatures, and although I would not choose to own one myself I love looking at other peoples!

Lovely all of them. Such stunning patterns and colours. (and no I am not offended by an animal eating its natural diet even though I am a pet lover and have kept many pet rats over the years - perhaps just a warning next time for those who do not wish to look at such photos though??!).

Mooks - I wasn't offended and I know that snakes eat rats etc - but although I think snakes are lovely creatures I just find it a bit upsetting when I see these sort of pics - if I'd have known then I wouldn't have opened up the pics. Your snakes are great btw. :D

I am yes. :hihi:
Listy is very friendly until feeding time, then he's hot tempered of course. Responds well to my voice. He's actually my lad's snake, but it's always down to me to do the cleaning out etc of course.

:)

Well in this household my wife holds our snakes and l strike feed our rat snake and feed our calis..
And l clean them out...everytime l think l will hold them something says dont they will bite ye..:P...l guess they associate me with food instead...
Wife have no probs holding our 6ft rat snake, but even she is a bit worried bout holding 3ft calikings....as they are a bit nippy and has bitten me and the wife before..but thats calikings for ye l just find them more interesting than corns..and the colour variations are superb..
Live in Walkley !!

Cheers

Some nice photos there, I've never been a snake person but love watching them!

I'm a rat owner and I cant say I'm offended by the photos but can see why a few ppl might be, At the end of the day it's what they eat, it's life and thats what happens unfortunatly.

You might wanna go back and label them as feeding time photos to avoid any more negative post though ;)
