Does anyone have any memories of the Heartbeat on Queen's Road. Did you meet your wife there.

Remember that the manager near the end was Bob Wooley and one of the doorman was a swarthy dark skinned bloke think they called him John Grocock

The Heartbeat was one of the places I frequented in my youth. I seem to remember spending new Year's eve there once and having to come out and queue up to get back in again - something to do with licensing law at the time (late 60s).
I also remember the sort of booths they had as I was sitting in one one night with my boyfriend and 2 lads came to ask us to dance - well it was dark and we both had long curly hair!
