One has to remember that the storylines are building up for the Autumn viewing figures and subequently the blockbusting Christmas editions. If you look back at when Tracy had the baby and the way Roy and Haley were involved you can see how far ahead the storylines are mapped out.

This could be the big story, as long as it's not Ashley's fight!

I feel that Kieran, Viv, Charlie and Shelly are going to be the biggie very soon. Maybe a murder, or even suicide. Has there ever been a suicide of a main character in a British soap?

We must wait and see.

And, yes, I do get out as well lol

Look-out Quentin Tarrantino, these plots are scorching hot.

(I can't believe people watch this tripe when there are books to read)

Well there was Corrie's Katy not that long ago. Wasn't that a suicide? I don't think Corrie can take many more murders for a while, there simply won't be anyone left.

i know its only a story line, but how many people actually go through this ???? i think the story should be made as realistic as possible

I'm with you madblast. Soaps, or at least thats we call them although the connection with soap powder is long gone, are watched by millions of people each week. I think there fore they should have an obligation to portray life as it really is. Mike Baldwin's dementure, so far is a joke, Shelly's plastic surgery didnt even bruise her eyes, and this a program that sacked Ivy Tilsley for having lip suction.

Any alcoholic, something close to my heart, and liver, is shown recovering in 2/3 weeks.

I know it's not real life but, for goodness sake, get some facts right. Some people live their lives by soap standards.

I know quite a few people who have been through this situation in real life, it's horryfying to see yet good to actually bring it to the publics attention.

Thing is that most people watch soaps and unfortunately forget two days later - unless they watch the bumper edition or whatever it is called on a sunday afternoon when they are bored.

I do not watch coronation street or any other soaps but I get the gyst of what this storyline is.

What is the legal definition of abduction and can a parent with responsability for the child be accused of it?

Ponders?

Shove his head up a flatulant rhino until he dies. Then his excelent example can be followed by all other soap characters and we can be shot of such rubbish from our Tv screens.

I can't stand soaps because they are full of men with good looking girlfriends. I find them depressing and avoid them.

I watch many programmes but just not Coronation St etc.

Apparently Shelley's fella get's pushed down the stairs by her mother and dies.

but the point is, why do women do this not only to men but to children, soaps are cronstructed from real life, these issues with steve, happen in real life, people are that vindictive!!!

now comment

If soaps were too true to life no-one would watch them as they'd be so dull, the story lines have to stretch the bounds of reality to keep people tuning in.
With the steve story line why aren't the police asking how he got his hands on Amy's? passport and half her wardrobe. I do watch the progrm sometimes and when it makes such glaring ommissions it does annoy me slightly, so maybe it could be a bit more realistic at times.

I think you should use that rino and trample all over steves girlfriend for being so unreasonable under the circumstances.

I don't like that Tracy one.. She's got scary eyes..

I feel sorry for little Amy though, she's caught up in all the stuff between Steve and the Mother from hell.
