My Ten year old daughter has learning difficulties, speech and language and communication problems. In her previous school she was bullied and locked in the toilets. She began to soil herself as a result of this. My G.P referred her to Beighton hospital where she was seen by a psychologist. She received, one to one in art therapy, they concluded that the problem was with her education.
I took my daughter out of the school that was causing her so much distress and decided to home school until a place could be found in different school.
At the age of Seven she was sent to a school which was much smaller. Although my daughter loves this school, she still has the same difficulties with her peers.
The school have recognised that the difficulties she has, means she needs to attend a special school for secondary.I am sure this is the ideal thing for my daughter but in the meantime, im so worried about her while she is at this school.
I have attended the school on many occasions about things that were happening to her.On one occasion she received emails telling her she was ugly, manky teeth and a B...h. I printed off the emails showing the other girls details and showed it to the headmistress, who has recently left the school.
My daughter is so guilible that she allows them to dictate to her in the playground. There is one particular child that seems to be a ringleader. Im at the point where I am fed up of speaking with the school about my daughters difficulties with the other children and just want to take her out of school all together.
I do not want special treatment for my daughter but i feel that they are ignoring me. I can not put all the things my daughter has endured, so I know its hard for you to comment but if there is any parents out there with school age children, could you please give me some advice.

Thanks

If you have put your concerns in writing to the Headteacher, the next step as far as I am aware, is to bring the way your daughter's situation has been dealt with to the School Governors. This needs to be in writing. Keep copies of everything. After that, I don't know what you should do, but someone on here will! All the best, I know it must be so worrying for you.

Thank you for your reply. That was the situation with the previous school and although there was witnesses to the events, the headteacher nor the governors supported me.I am pretty reluctant to go down that route again for fear of being classes as an over reacting mother as I was previously.
Thanks
