He can be quite vocal (loud meows) and is wearing a black collar with a green catflap fob.

Many thanks

Don't forget to put up some posters in the shops and ring all the local vets in case they've seen him. Sometimes it's enough to just jog someone's memory.
Here's hoping Paddy's just off sulking somewhere and comes home soon xxx

Yes just finished with the posters, speaking to neighbours and ringing around today, still nothing. Can just hope that he turns up now, fingers crossed

Al_sheffield 18-09-2009, 12:55 At 5am last night, Paddy decided return from his holidays! :)
I was woken by some very loud "I'm really hungry, wake up" meowing from my ginger friend. He has signs of a cut at the side of one eye (mostly healed up) and he had quite a few fleas in tow (which got him immediately doused in bob martin) but other than that he seemed fine.
I'm guessing he either just went walkabout quite far or just stayed put somewhere secluded until the cuts healed. I doubt he was trapped in a shed or something similar as he didn't look too starved and my money is he's been mousing over the last week to keep fed.
Out of interest, are neutered toms liable to go walkabout like this often?
So glad hes back though, its the not knowing what happened that is the worst part when they are missing.

That's brilliant news!
He may have had an altercation with another cat, dog, or even a garden gate for all we know. Keep a close eye on that cut, Alex. Any signs of pus or swelling, get him checked out immediately. Infections can rip through cats really quickly so he may need swift veterinary treatment if it is infected. Sometimes the wounds heal over the top trapping the infection inside.
My mate's cats always get infested with fleas cos they go and play with the hedgehogs. Maybe he's been making new friends too?
He's a cheeky little wotsit, isn't he? "C'mon, I'm staaaaaaaarvin'! Weers me Go-Cat?!"
Glad to hear hes home try frontline it works better than bob Martins though.
Al_sheffield 06-09-2010, 08:37 Well it seems like its this time of year as Paddy has left to go on holiday again.
Just posted in lost & found (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=638748) as he last left the house on Thursday 2nd and I haven't seen him since.
The other issue is that I am moving house at the moment and his cat carrier is ready and waiting to transport him to his new home!
His sister is missing him but has wasted no time in bagging the new cat tree and sleeping pillows at the new house, so hurry up and come back Paddy!
Hi Al if your puss isn't neutered then this may have some bearing on his walkabout. It is so cheap at the moment to get him done and it's an easy and quick op. Cuts down on unwanted kits of course and also problems with diseases in the future. Cats Protection are offering free neutering if you're on benefits or Dore and Totley vets are neutering males for around £30 if you're not receiving benefits, nothing when you consider the consequences of unneutered toms. It's the first thing to do when he returns, the little tinker!!
Al_sheffield 06-09-2010, 20:08 Hi Al if your puss isn't neutered then this may have some bearing on his walkabout...
He has been neutered, I think he just likes to wander pretty far (i.e. miles) and it does make me quite anxious when he's gone for several days on end like at the moment.
Al_sheffield 12-09-2010, 08:56 Now Found (again)
After 9 days without seeing him, he was waiting for me when I got in to the house about 11pm tonight.
We were both clearly very pleased to see each other and although he has lost quite abit of weight Paddy otherwise seems fine.
I straight-away moved him to his new home and after a peaceful night he is now sat with me on the sofa, purring away. One of he cutest bits was when his sister saw him she came straight over and started licking his head clean. She really had missed him too!
Rest assured he will not be leaving the new house for some time until he's fully settled in :D
