Hi I am very new to photography of any sort, I have had my cameras for about three month and am considering enroling in one of the cources offered by the Sheffield colleges. If anybody has experience of them (good or bad) or any private cources being run i would be grateful for your advice.
Could i also ask for advise about the pictures i have taken these represent a broad selection but are they any good?

Some lovely shots there - well done. I especially like the close up of the flower (iris?). Good luck with the photography. I hope you find a course that suits you. Make sure that you choose a course that encourages you to keep taking photographs rather than bogging you down with the theory. Or one that lets you develop your own eye while helping you learn the technical side could be good.

That second shot is fab. It's so hard to get just the right amount of mist to give that fade into the distance - what looks good to the eye often looks bland in a photograph.

Most of your shots are going in the right direction - it's the light that makes a photograph and you've certainly captured some great light. Start looking at composition now and read up on the 'rule of thirds' (you mentally divide the picture into thirds vertically and horizontally and try to get important elements of the picture on the intersections of those 'third' lines).

Many thanks i am particularly proud of the picture you high lighted, the third rule is interesting i will look it up and try to incorporate it in future pictures.
Again many thanks

Hi,
I am thinking of giving camera driving lessons.
Would you be interested in becoming a guinea pig for me, that way we can both learn something.
