A SHEFFIELD man told today how he cheated death twice on his dream Egyptian holiday with his new partner.
First he survived a terrifying medical emergency, but was then caught up in the bomb blasts in Sharm el Sheikh.
Doctors said diabetic John Cockayne, aged 52, could die when he had a severe hypoglycaemic episode just after arriving at the resort last week. He spent four days in hospital in a coma.
He survived and returned to his hotel The Royal Plaza - which just hours later was rocked by a car bomb at the nearby Ghazala Gardens hotel.
