Do some searches on this forum and you'll compile a pretty long list of which to avoid. Sorry if that's a negative answer, but I don't think in all the threads about letting agents I've seen any recommended.

We rented through Bloors, and I would recommend them. The service was good, they kept us informed during the credit checks, and the staff were excellent.

They dont manage our property though, so i couldn't tell you what they are like for getting stuff done.

Also the credit check seemed expensive - but i think its the same for most agents (except spencers on ecclesall road - they've got a good reputation, and dont charge for credit checks (I think)).

As above, have a wander round the cathedral area... most are situated around there.
