I was hoping for rain yesterday, there is a water shortage and I didn't want to have to get the hose pipe out to water the garden.

ideal conditions for me at the moment, as i suffer from hay fever, and also i do the odd gardening job for friends, so it's just right at present. I would like the decent weather to return though

I find it strange that british people hate the rain so.
If it weren't for rain how else would our flowers grow?

When you get as much rain as we do in Britain, is it not understanable that we may get a little p***** **f about it??

I understand that a major player in the house sales market are now using the sales pitch that with global warming, why buy a house abroard when you can get the same temperature here in the future.

its nice to have a few days of rain. I find it gets very smelly around here without the rain to clear the rubbiosh away. Bad sewevage and general rubbish.

My feet are freezing and my shoulders ache. Then again the aching could have something to do with the fact that I went out on my new trike this weekend and am feeling the effects.

Anyway, yes, weather! Bring back the sun! It's the law!

Sun? Maybe but in moderation.

No bloody temps of 80 degrees thanks, although I am always amused listening to people say 'OOOOH IN'T IT HOT!!' when they've been begging for it a few days before!

50-75 degrees
no sun
no wind

Ideal for golf!!

Foooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrre!

It's been cool enough to take Brude to work with me and leave him in the car (don't ask - he's happy if he thinks he's been somewhere intead of being left at home  )

However..... He's now toasting infront of the gas fire he insisted we needed to put on :suspect:
One hour's barking stroppily and shoving his nose in it was all we could stand

And he was right

Today's reminded me how much I love autumn - just not in the middle of summer :|

We really needed the rain, the grass (read: moss, clover & dandelions) on the front pasture was in desperate need of some water.

I'm sure we'll get another hot week in August, then by the end of August it will rain again, then, come September and the sun finally comes out again, it won't be quite so warm .... and hey presto it's winter again.

Why does Winter always seem to last so much longer than Summer?
