Seen a peripheral that let's you connect an infra red device to your pc in Maplins- plugs in to the usb socket & you can download/upload from your phone/pda, etc, but it wouldn't work with macs.

Anyone know of such a thing which I can use with my ibook as I don't have bluetooth on my phone?

But it's primarily a remote control unit, not sure if you could use it on your phone.

A data cable from Ebay may be a better bet.
