Is it a new set up? do you use any water treatment products? Im for and against some of them. Do you siphon the bottom of the tank on a regular basis?

Are you using dechlorinator drops? also, have you rinsed the charcoal in tap water before putting it in the filter, (in a little sieve) as if not you will get a grey clouding in the water from the charcoal. Maybe you need to buy a ph test strip kit to see what the problem is - pets at home sell one and the strips change colour according to what probs you got.

other than that, perhaps a search on the internet - i have a biorb and find that there is a great unofficial forum website for probs onthat - biorb sell filter cartriges for algae etc perhaps there is something you can buy to solve the problem, - it may be down to hard water etc?

hope this helps.

I noticed our tank got murkier when I moved it nearer to a window. I had to change the water more often. I don't know if this is was just coincidence.

is the tank overcrowded? have you got too many natural plants? Did you rinse out the gravel before putting it in? Are you feeding the fish too much?
Just a few ideas.

the best thing for any fish tank is well out of the way of sunlight and dont overstock or overfeed them as long as your doing routine water changes everything should settle itself down overtime but the main thing is get the tank as far away from sunlight as possible :)

I agree with everyone...away from sunlight, don't overfeed, have a good filter, not to many fish and maybe get a couple of aquarium snails to keep the tank clean. I call them my little helpers. if none of the above helps go back to your pet shop and ask them..the other thing is maybe your filter is faulty..good luck
