Hi....My son has an Acer Aspire laptop...it came with his mobile phone..he got it free...pays so much a month etc...anyhow..hes had it about 5-6months and the other day...he turned it on and the screen was peculiar...the only way I can describe it is that it looks like the ink on the inside of the screen has run....half the screen is ok..then theres this thick blue line..like a line of ink..and then white with fleck of blue and various colours in it...he tells me he hasnt dropped it banged it etc etc...does anyone have any idea as to what could be the problem please..and if its repairable...thanks....

the screen is broken, is it still under warrenty?

Hi...thanks for yr reply...I'm presuming it came with a 12month warranty...if the screens broken...how could that have happened...I dont want to take it back to the store where he got it from...if they say its been dropped or anything....even tho my son says it hasnt been dropped etc...I dont want to make myself look a fool...lol..

Excessive pressure or a sharp shock - rather like what you may get when you find that such a problem is excluded from your warranty - though you may as well try.
