Everybody, including any new people, are welcome to join us for a pub meet at the Hillsborough Hotel from 7.45 onwards on Thursday 17th September.
The pub is on Langsett road, and for anybody getting there by car, there is plenty of on-street parking round the back of the pub.
The pub is also on a tram route, and there are also lots of buses pass the door too, including I think the no 17. The 77/78 service also goes quite close to the pub on Penistone Road as well.
This is the first proper pub meet we've had for a while, and will be an opportunity for people to discuss walking related matters, or anything else they want to! It would be lovely to see a good turnout for this and to get some new ideas if anybody has any.
I'll be there, and hopefully Rivelin6 as well.

Had a bit of feedback today that there are one or two people who would like to suggest walks and weren't sure whether or how they could do it.
Can I just say that it's always nice to have suggestions for walks, or recommendations even, and I think that most people who have known me a few years will know that whilever I've been GL, I've always been happy to take on board anything that people want to suggest, and this is still the case. So if anybody wants to suggest a particular walk, please come along to this pub meet, and I'll be more than happy to accept those suggestions!
Failing this, people can always pm me, or suggest destinations while we're on a walk, and I'll put the suggestions forward to the other Walk Organisers when we meet up.

Information for Bus travellers - the last 17 from City is 1930 after this time this service only operates Meadowhall to Hillsborough Interchange only and DOES NOT pass the pub/hotel
The bus services passing near the Hillsborough Hotel are:
First = 11/12 - 13/14 - 17 -57/58 - 66 All serve Infirmary road/Langsett road
First = 53 - 77/78 These serve Penistone Road and you require the Hillfoot Bridge stop
Stagecoach Bus 57/58 or tram yellow or blue routes

All those who have joined the Shamblers will be getting the first newsletter in a couple of weeks with details of events and so forth, but in between time here's a bit of a sampler of what's going to be arranged between now and the end of the year..........
