Just had a email from sheffied 02 Academy, and it says Madness are to play on the 9th dec. I can not wait, i have been a fan since i was young and carnt wait to see them live. Look like to they not playing at all 02 academy so i bet this will probly sell out fast.

I belive the tickets are now avaliable has you can do it over line, i once got tickets before when they went on line from the venue for another gig. i am off tomo to get my tickets so will let you know.


EDIT. i finally got through via phone to talk to someone and he tells me that tickets are avaliable now to buy on line and to buy at the venue now.

Tickets went on sale last friday but I got mine on thursday via a pre-sale link on the Madness website. Should be a great show.......they usually are.

I'm going!! Saw them at Arena a few years ago, that was ace.

However, the price is a bit steep.

Saw Madness in 2003 at a festival down south, absolutely brilliant, even if they are getting on a bit. Would love to see them again but there's no way I'll go to the rip off corporate anti-music scumbag academy.

Went to see them a few years ago, when they played 'baggy trousers' a large number of the guys left their seats - they were wearing the bowler hats - and started doing 'the dance' in the middle of the arena

saw them at city hall think it was 1980 there were in there prime and fantastic ..wont go now tho to dear

Brilliant but not as good as the specials

I saw their live show on BBC4 last week and was quite impressed to see them doing their new concept album "The Liberty Of Norton Folgate" in its entireity. Not only was it surprisingly good, but it was also refreshing to see an 1980s band reforming and still doing something creative rather than just churning out their old hits.
