I'm wanting to play my MP3's through my stereo.

Can anyone tell me how to connect my PC to my stereo.

I have Technics seperates and a good amp.

get a cable with 3.5mm stereo jack to left and right channel plugs. Plug one end into line-out on the pc, the other end into a set of inputs on the back of the stereo.

Didn't realise it was as easy as that.

Cheers

(I hope they sell this cable in a lengths of 20m)

You can get extension leads for either the 2 phono end or the 3.5mm jack end if you can't find a one piece long enough. Just buy a short adaptor lead and an extension lead.

Also, don't plug it into the phono input, it's a different impedance and won't work properly.

Yup, it goes into the EXT connections on the stereo, or DCC.

If you go to a audio/TV repairer's shop they can make you up the cable to any length  It's not expensive either ;)

Cableuniverse (http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=128_27&sort=20a&page=3) has great prices on stuff like this (no connection except a past customer) - can't argue with under a fiver for a 10 metre cable! (and they do various other lengths)

(just re-read to see you need a 20 metre length! Not sure they do them that long, you could always get an extension - one of these (http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=128_27&products_id=355) and one of these (http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=128_27&products_id=355) ;))
