It was snowing and we never did make it all the way home. We had to leave it burried in the street for a couple of weeks. steverootes 18-05-2011, 23:02 Hi folks - have been doing some internet research into my 1970 Sunbeam Rapier H120 ( Holbay engine ) and was amazed to find this thread and here the stories and happy memories you have of Pickford's in the 60's/70's. My car was supplied new by EH PICKFORD & CO. on 19th August 1970 to a customer who lived in Stradbroke Road, Sheffield. The car will be undergoing a full restoration and the intention is to return it to it's former glory as it would have been in the Pickford's showroom.Who knows some of you may remember it as it passed through?? Would be great to hear more stories from back in the day of Rapiers etc. The car now resides in Somerset - here's some recent pictures (originally had a black stripe) Hope they bring back some good memories! http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k149/fivepot/adi%202009/marks%20H120/DSC00399.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k149/fivepot/adi%202009/marks%20H120/DSC00398.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k149/fivepot/adi%202009/marks%20H120/DSC00404.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k149/fivepot/adi%202009/marks%20H120/DSC00392.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k149/fivepot/adi%202009/marks%20H120/DSC00222.jpg stevie1957 19-05-2011, 00:14 any one work at E H Pickfords on Ecclesall Rd in the seventies.
