Are you asking for peoples opinions of nice food or finding out michelin star restaurants/ posh resturants ?

both. I want to know what people think s the nicest resteraunt as a package. Food, Location, Design, Staff and Price

REEDS at the Pastures Lodge. Fresh food, lovely locally reared beef, good quality fish from local fishmongers. Excellent service from Ian and his staff.

I am a massive fan of the Milestone down near Kelham Island. The food is excellent and the staff and service is always superb. Their taster menu is particularly nice.

Enjoyed the milestone a lot and will be going back as soon as I can.

Didnt like West 10 at all - food was not very good , service sloppy , prices high and tables crammed in...

Morans is really nice, Marco@Milanos also very good.

The Walnut Club on eccleshall road is very good indeed (although suffers from the high price, small portions).

The Old house is fantastic pub grub at great prices (their fish and chips is the best I've had anywhere)

Aagrah is the best I've been to for curry. A little pricey but worth it.

23 in the West One is another very good place with a continental menu.

Used to live near there and go there a lot when it was just pastures lodge and was run by geoff salmon, the food was always spot on too.

The Milestone for me. Great food and excellent service.

B B's Italian restaurant on Division Street. Its a tiny little cosy place where they serve THE BEST calzone I've ever had. Also had a really nice baked salmon dish there too. Prices are good, BYOB, friendly staff. Just book a table if your going on the weekend cos its tiny so it fills up quick!

Forget Sheffield - go to Anthony's at Leeds. Now that is fantastic food!

Sheffield - a like a lot of places - Antibo, Setti Colli, Viva Tequila, Dam House.

viva tequila is absolutely crap and one of the worst places to eat overpriced crap

I wouldn't say Viva Tequila's food is expensive, infact I think it's reasonably priced and you get loads. OK it's not the best food in Sheffield but it aint crap and the atmosphere in there is great. I have been about 4-5 times and really enjoyed the food and the place everytime. The staff are great and the service is great too.

Forget Sheffield - go to Anthony's at Leeds. Now that is fantastic food!

As for Sheffield, Noodle Inn has to be up there as it's the only place I can return to most weeks and still enjoy after years. Otherwise, I'd plump for Jabu.

Service was spot on for us. Maybe it was a good day for them, or maybe they have improved, or maybe I'd had so much wine I didn't care!! The Venison was good, but the risotto. Oh my LORD!!

Best place in Sheffield. Mmmmmm. Favourite places would be Platillos, Wasabisabi, Noodle bar, the Forum. But BEST place. It is silly but for really good restaurants I'll go out of Sheffield, or the country. But here. The 'good' ones are, for me out of the way - as in not salp bang in the middle of town. Like Marco's, Thyme (etc), Morans, Nonnas, Walnut Club & Old Vicarage are located outside the city centre. Living in town, I don't bother walking/bussing/taxi-ing to these restaurants, but I happily travelled to Venice to eat Carpaccio at Harry's bar!

Ok, BEST restaurant for me is Wasabisabi. Good food & good cocktails. And you can kid yourself that by eating a bit of sushi you are being healthy.

Try the swan at ridgeway lovely homemade pies and chips with hendersons relish too!
Other than that Butlers Balti near the old jessops hospital is very nice with gorgeous fresh naan breads.

I agree Noodle Inn is also fantastic! I love it there and you get lots for your money too.
