Just wondering-

What's the cheapest wedding you have ever had/been to/known/read about??

The cheapest wedding I went to cost £500. Most of that was her dress and boots and his suit. They were married at Sheffield Register Office and then we went to the Sheaf View for the buffet. Various friends contributed to the buffet (I made the cake), and that was it! It was a lovely day.

My friends wedding did not cost a lot, she got married in the local church and then we went back to her house for a buffet which all the guests contributed to. It was lovely :)

One of my sisters got married 17 years ago and it cost them just under £400, she got married at the old wedding cake Register Office, her hubby wore jeans and a polo top she wore a suite also cost of the rings, my eldst sister got her the cars has a gift, my aunty made her cake, and had her reception at local pub my mum worked at who was very close friends with the landords and she just had to pay for food and the pub's DJ, her wedding was in the sheffield star has some fight broke out with other people in the pub so became keep sake that paper. Back then i remember you dont need to spend £££'s on a wedding to make your day like i have been to in the past, and its how i like mine to be cheap.

My wedding :hihi:

Dress was borrowed from a friend
Wedding license was a gift from one of our witnesses (registery office do)
Party after in a local pub with a small buffet and cake provided by guests
The photography and album were done by my sister
The only thing we bought were the rings which were cheap and cheerful.
