Mozart, my avatar, died in his sleep this morning. He was around 12 years old and had had thyroid trouble for a year and recently developed renal disease. Over the past month or so, he lost an awful lot of weight, and got a campylobacter stomach infection from which he never recovered.
Mr Parcher and I are going to miss his yowl anouncing that he had come in, the sound of thundering feet accompanying every tin opening and the liberal sprinkling of white fur on everything. He was a very special cat and leaves a big hole in our lives.
