Hello, I'm moving to a flat where there's no BT line but the people there seem to have NTL broadband. If you've used NTL broadband or know someone who has, can you tell me if it's any good?

Basically I want to have an uncapped, reasonably fast (1mb or more) service. Getting webspace, email addresses etc. isn't important to me, but having a reliable service with good customer support when necessary is very important.

Any comments would be very much appreciated, as my other choice is to pay BT £75 to install a line and I'd rather not do that.

Thanks,
Con

Turning this question on its head, why not get a BT line installed?

Well first of all as a matter of principle I think that £75 to install a BT line (that hundreds of other people will probably use after I move away from the flat) is a bit extortionate. But more importantly, I'm thinking that if NTL is all right and I can get it easily (and hopefully enabled much sooner than BT) it's better to just stick with it.

Fair enough, just thought I'd ask. Not a BT fan myself but I'm stuck with it. :(
