hey all ive got 4 cats, two of which are no trouble at all, they come and go as they please are very clean and very well behaved, these two i want to keep, as one ive had 8 years and hes my baby the other is so good i have no reason to let him go,

but i also have a 2 females who ive decided for genuine reasons to let go, shes lovely and id like to make sure she goes somewhere i know she wil have a full and happy life, as ive had her two years i want to make sure shel be ok the other one is her 8 months old daughter, shes lovely but i just need to let these two go somewhere who can look after them better then me, not saying im a bad owner but i did get in over my head when i decided to keep the 8 month cat, ive now after 8 months of stuggling with all four decided this will be best for them both as i cant afford to keep them all, plus im due my baby in janurary and feel it will be too much when the baby arrives,

i havent taken this lightly , its been a long hard desision but i know its the best thing i can do for them and my family. then im just going to stick to my two older cats and not get anymore no matter how cute

now i need advice on whats the best way to do this is, im worried if i stick an add somewhere then i could be giving them to anyone which i dont want, or is it best to give them to a rescue centre? where they will check each owner out before giving hem to people.

both females are not neutered yet but will be as soon i recieved some vouchers towards the cost that some very nice lady is sending me off here, i dont expect to give them away b4 this is done, or i can give the vouchers to the new owners with the cat, totally up to them:)

thanks in advance for any genuine helpful comments. i love them all but have to do this i think, so please dont judge me as like i said this is not an easy or lighthearted thing for me to do:(

first thing would probably be to fill in the rehoming template found ina sticky at the top of this section.

Perhaps you could compile a list of things you would want to know from a new owner?
Maybe see if someone could help you out with homechecking?

I really think it would be a good idea to make use of your vouchers first though and get them speyed and give them time to recover from that first if you can - at least then you know there is no chance of them producing more kittens.

Hope that helps a little

thanks for the reply hun, im not going to advertise them yet as im still not 100 percent on my decision, im deffo going to use the vouchers, as for one i will at least now they wont be used for mating by someone else. they were both looking at me lastnight in the sweetest way lol and im wavering again.:)

if i do then it may sound awful but ill have to see where they are going etc but for now im just gona think think think:hihi:

well if you get them neutered and then take the recovery time that will give you plenty of thinking time. I think sometimes when your pregnant the animals can seem like hard work - I know mine did during my last pregnancy but I wouldnt be without them.

Having said that if you feel you cant cope then rehoming is better than struggling on. Whatever decision you make you have to do what is right by you both.

Good luckx

thanks hun and yeah i agree being pregnant makes it harder, ive been out today and come back to find one of them has used the litter tray and totally missed and hit the wall lol, it just seems so much more effort at the moment but im sure ill make the right choice, i do love em to bits but lately im just tired and it all, two kids 4 cats and another on the way, but hopefully when shes done she can go out more and i can get rid of the tray by the time baby arrives:)
