Just wanted to recommend the services of suppliers that made mine and Cyclone's wedding such a fantastic experience:
Venue - Tapton Hall, Shore Lane
Excellent communications and attention to detail.
They don't do sample tastings but the food is delicious anyway.
Cake maker - Fancie
Delicious cakes delivered and presented beautifully - unfortunately the buttercream was yellow so we didn't get the snow effect we were hoping for our cupcake mountain.
Dress shop - Wedding Daze of Sheffield, Marisa
Marisa made the bridesmaids dresses and my mum's and my dress for the Sunday do. All were beautifully made.
Wedding Daze supplied my wedding dress and did a fantastic job of the alterations.
Flowers - K&S Flowers
We did our own flower arrangements and they supplied the flowers. They gave me a couple of free buckets so I didn't have to get my own. The prices were competitive.
Transport - Executive Chauffeur Services
Mercedes 300C, on time, no problems, nice car, pleasant driver and a good price.
Photographer - Trupix
Excellent price, superb photos. Shame we didn't get a shot of us both with the wedding car but it'd already left.
Entertainment - ClassicRock, Fox Lighting
Buffy did an excellent job of mixing the playlist and the karaoke to keep people on the dance floor. Some suspect choices by karaoke singers. Lighting did what it said on the tin.
Decorations - Nationwide Chair Covers
Arrived on time (although late enough to make Cyclone ring and check they were coming). No problems, all set up correctly, collected afterwards with the minimum of intervention by us. Couldn't ask for anymore.
Jewellery - George, Broomhill
Did an amazing job of shaping my wedding band to fit around my engagement ring for a really good price.
Hotel - Rutland Hotel
Lovely rooms. Unfortunately the air con wasn't working in the Dainton Suite so we had to get a bunch of fans the morning of the wedding to cool us down while we were getting ready!
They also very kindly let us use one of their available conference rooms to do our flower arranging.
Excellent staff and really delicious food.
I hope this is useful to other brides and grooms to be in Sheffield. PM me if you want to know what we paid ;)
