Hi All,

I am new to Sheffield and going on a date with someone who is also from out of town. Can anyone recommend any pubs or bars with a nice atmoshere but not too noisey, possibly with a food option?

Thank you!

Something like Ha Ha's bar near the Peace Fountains.. central, safe, easy to get to, really nice atmosphere, nice food. not too cheap though. But hey, id say its great for a first date, reasonably impressive

For something a bit more laid back try Bungalow and Bears bar on Divison Street. Very quirky and 'comfy', easy going to get chatting in

Good luck :)

Try the Leopold Hotel, you can have a drink or just the late evening coffee thing. No notable loud music but a relaxed upmarket feeling atmosphere with good service. And you're in Leopold Square so you can go a bit more music + drinks if you want to.

I met my partner on a blind date and we met at the Ha Ha bar, neat the peace gardens. Was lovely and we are still together 2 years later! The Wig and Pen on Campo Lane is also lovely. Good luck!
