I have recnetly taken over as general manager @ Popolo and I was hoping for feedback to what the people of sheffield really think of us! good or bad is greatly appriecited!

I went in with a friend about a month ago.

There was a minor problem with the connection between the till and the kitchen, so our order didn't go through. We had a very long wait for our food.

I have to say the staff were very good (overall, and when the problem was realised). They were very apologetic about the malfunctioning machine.

When the food finally did arrive, it was nice.

The food deal on Wednesday is great. I was very skeptical on my first visit and really did not expect much for £4, but was pleasantly surprised. The food is actually nice!! Very rarely go in just for drinks. Don't know why. Maybe its because when we go to Leopold Square we just sit in Platillos. I suppose the American diner look does kind of put me off as it looks more of a cocktail bar rather than somewhere you could go and enjoy a glass of wine. But saying that I do like the decor!

Loved the cocktails, found the food calculatingly bland - as if it had been made not to offend anyone rather than make anyone like it. Thought the American diner look was a bit tacky (but just not to my taste - I've never seen the attraction of American diners in the first place).
