No mention of Saabs - my wife used to work with twockers, and she once said to one of them "I bet you've never stolen a Saab". A couple of weeks later he said to her "you're right, those Saab's are rubbish, who wants to go joyriding in reverse gear?" My friend Duncan (who I just mentioned on the Tsunami Survivors thread) went to three garages trying to get an immobiliser fitted on his Saab 900, they all refused because they said there was no point, they were un-nickable anyway.

Having said that, my classic 900 got broken into (window smashed) & the stereo nicked (including the faceplate, which I'd stashed in the driver's door pocket) a few weeks ago, and four years ago my mate had his new 9.3 nicked by an Alabanian gang in Antwerp - they took the easier route of lifting it onto a flatbed lorry.

Nobody wants to break down while being chased by the police! Would have thought it would make it onto the avoid list.
