Before a mod closes this thread too im asking opinion on colours not wanting any prices! so please leave my thread alone.

Hi, im getting married i july and am stuck with flowers, well the colour of them, I havent even decided what colour I want for bridesmaids etc.

What I was wondering is what colour makes you think of a summer wedding? I like the Orange Paradise Bird ones for a bit of wow, but I also really like hot pink roses im at such a loss.

I'm only looking for a bouquet for me so have less to consider than you with your bridesmaids and so on. To keep costs down I'm looking to use seasonal flowers rather than having some exotic stems shipped in from halfway around the world! Seasonality might inform your colour choices too.

Do you have a colour theme in mind for your invitations/stationery that you could use for inspiration? A piece of jewellery you intend to wear? What will your dress look like?

I also took my colouring into consideration as I'm very pale with red hair. I would imagine brunettes in particular could choose any colour they like though.

Try contacting MyBudgetWeddingPlanner (Google or PM on here) for some help with flowers; Rachel has helped me out already even though I'm only just starting to think about flowers.

We had sunflowers that went perfectly with the reception room (browns & golds at St Paul's hotel). They were fantastic. So striking and at the end of the night all the kids were walking round with them to take home!

I thought it was important to have the flowers work with the room rather than the bridesmaids etc. Although we each had a bouquet to match our outfits rather than the room!

i had sunflowers, it completely contrasted the bridesmaids that were in teal. The function room was neutral so its all worked well!! The whole day look amazing
