does anyone know if this can be done and if so where,our girts just cancleed her 3 network contract and wants to put a O2 sim in the phone.

I'm not sure about with 3 phones - I suspect you'd have to have an O2 3 contract - but with "traditional" phones you can pop into any small phone shop (or loads of market stalls) and get them to unlock it for a fiver or so... Usually you can get a cable and do it yourself for a similar price, but if you're not going to use the cable again it might not be worth it.

That's not the same as unblocking in the case of a stolen handset, which is pretty hard to do and very illegal ;)

My sister got a three phone an she uses her 02 chip. she is on pay as you go so i dont know about contract
