I am getting married next year and we are currently looking into wedding gift lists. Theres quite a few to pick from and I would appreciate any advice on this matter. I have looked into Debenhams which seems good but also very expensive.

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated thanks.

Instead of a gift list we have put a cheeky little poem in our invites asking for money instead!

I suppose it all depends on what you really need as to where you decide to have your list.

We are actually better with gifts, as we will have only just moved into our own house, so we will need things like a kettle :|

I'd say have a look round a few shops - Debenhams, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser and what ever shop has the items you like the most go with that one.

I also had a poem in my invitations that I made up myself asking for money as we had lived together for about 5 years anyway.

We have used the website www.gettingmarried.co.uk which lets u set up your own gift list where you can add gifts from any online/offline shops you like, you can also get cashback on some of the online purchases your guests make!

I just seen this thread so hope its still helpfull. I know you say that Debenhams seems good but also very expensive, and i dont know how cheap you want to go. But when my mum got remarried she had most things but people wanted to still buy. She used Argos wedding list service, You pick your gifts and then show your guest, when they go to buy it tells them if the item is already been taken by someone in your wedding party,so they have to choose again. Also you get a after your wedding a list on who bought what for you so you can send thank you cards. Can view on line this servis, I know its not Debenhams or other pricey store, but items stll has good has anyones in my book.
