Moving to Shef shortly and just trying to make sure I've got all my basic bills thought out (exc food). So far I have:

Rent
Council Tax
Elec/Water/Gas
Contents Insurance
Telephone
Broadband (can't do without it now!)

Anything I've missed?

Yeah not sure about buildings insurance either. Didn't make a huge difference on the quotes I was getting though. I'll have to check.

Maybe service charges and/ or ground rent? (Depends on where you'll be living tough)

Transport?

If you use public transport for work/college/leisure you may be better buying a monthly/weekly pass or at least budgeting for the fares.

And/or if you run a car there are obviously all sorts of costs related to that.

Happy, happy. Think I found a flat :D I work down the bottom of the moor so I'll have a 25 min (if that) walk to work and it'll actually cost less cos I commute from Chesterfield at the mo!
