I am looking to buy tickets to a match at the Nou Camp in Barcelona. Any tips? Is it best to buy the tickets from the club, thier website is not very user friendly. How far is the stadium from the city centre? What is the best way to get to the Stadium from the City Centre?

tickets are going to be expensive, you cant buy tickets direct from the club unless you have club membership which also costs money

thats what i was told once when i wanted to go, aint worth it.

wait for them to come to uk and go there for a champions league game

I have been to the Nou Camp but not for a game!, I went in the summer to look round the museum (well worth it) and you get to go inside the stadium and just sit there and be in awe of its size and imagine it when it is full. Its easy to get to its about a 10min trip on the underground to it with the underground station on a few min walk away. Dont know about getting tickets for matches, better looking on the web first and try to get a game vs smaller teams i.e. (comaprable to the premiership) a wigan!!

I was on holiday in Lloret when I went to the Nou Camp.

I got tickets by joining the local branch of the supporters club in the resort

I went there as well, when I was on holiday. Really cheap to go all round their place, including being allowed on part of the pitch :)
Too expensive to actually watch a game of football though, methinks...

The location, from what I can remember, is fairly close to the centre of the city.

Went to the ground while on a holiday on the Costa Brava.

It's a huge arena. Didn't see a match there but just has a ground visit.

We were allowed into the main stand and the stands across the other side of the pitch - usually allocated to visiting fans - were so high that spectators must get vertigo.

Go if you can.

I went to Barcelona in 99 for the Champions League Final, Man Utd vs Bayern Munich.
I purchased my ticket for an exorbitant price off a little lad and his grandad just hours before the game.
However, I think this was a one off situation and dont recommend it! (Although it was worth every penny).

Thanks for the replies. It's a birthday treat but if sounds as though it might be too costly, I'll have a re-think, any ideas? We went to the Maracana to see a local Rio team in their equivalent to the league cup final for about £12 each and in Argetina we saw Boca Jnrs for about £5!!

We just went to the ticket office the day before the game when we had athe stadium tour. From looking round where we were sat i think they had a tourists area!!

We were on the third tear and it was a really good day out.

I'm glad we did it.
