View Full Version : Batman Arkham Asylum for consoles
Played the demo, pre-ordered the game... absolutely superb.
Bat fans will love it.
The collectors edition comes with a 14" batarang on a stand also
I thought it was a bit style over substance. Yet another Final Fight clone with flashy graphics
PuressenceUK 23-08-2009, 18:33 Looks amazing and pre-ordered too
Best game of the year - Bar none.
What do you think?
RegularJohn 07-09-2009, 18:14 Honestly, its an ok game. I didnt seem to enjoy as much as other people have, its just so repetitive and short, 6-7 hours with all riddles for me. GOTY?? Not this year, not with Boaderlands and Operation Flashpoint coming out.

Stop playing it on "easy"!! :nono:
demoniac 07-09-2009, 18:35 found it quite boring after 3-4 hours and I cant see much replay value unless you want to do all the riddles

Wasnt on easy, was on medium, shudder to think how short it would of been if it was on easy
mr.blaze 07-09-2009, 21:41 Dragon Rising will blow it out of the water.

It has nothing to do with the film
animal2477 08-09-2009, 04:39 i loved it,thoughtit was a great game, was very surprised as to how much i enjoyed usually get bored ,but kept me going for best part of a week, been through it 3 times now for the points!!!
RegularJohn 08-09-2009, 10:50 Dont think i could finish it 3 times! Think i got around 650 - 700 GS on one playthrough and that enough for me, no real reason for me to play it again at all.
Its just the superhero aspect what does it for me, i hope the bring out a sandbox type of batman, like GTA4.
Nutronic 08-09-2009, 12:28 Im waiting to receive this and looking forward to play as Joker :) Its been number one now in the games chart for about 2 weeks and its in the Guinness Book of Records.
Splendid.
In the records for what?
'Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever' (http://www.batmanarkhamasylum.com/?page=articles/view&AID=3364).
It's a clever bit of marketing puff (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/28/batman-arkham-asylum-receives-uninspiring-guinness-world-record/) really.
NEKRO138 15-09-2009, 12:26 Really enjoyed playing this game.
RegularJohn 15-09-2009, 12:33 For anyone that still has it (not me) there is some free DLC coming out Sept 17th, Just some more challange maps
Brilliant game! Got it on the 360 and love it. Going to get Colin Mcrae Dirt 2 today too, played that yesterday and is also excellent.
Can anyone tell me what the Boss levels are like? I generally dislike bosses, as they break the flow of the game and can sometimes be just too hard so you get stuck (I'm a casual gamer).

Slightly challenging but totally doable (and I played on normal difficulty, not easy)
