As above, I just wondered if anyone has got any hermits? Ive just got a couple and they are amazing. So any advice on decent shops etc would be great.

hi ive got 5 of the little guys. Hermits are amazing, get yourself on absolutely crabulous, its the best site,and excellent crab shop for essentials you can get your dechlorine drops, sea salt for the guys, enhancing coloured foods the lot. Humidity needs to be high, most crabs die from 2 things, low humidity and wrong temperatures. Hermits prefer to live in larger groups ( im extending my group when i can move them into their new crabitat , 3 of mine are moulting at the mo so its a waiting game ) the rule of thumb with hermies is that they all have enough space to get down and moult if they wanted to at the same time, they need lots of things to climb and play on, basically the more you give them the more you will get out of them. Roughly 3 shells per crab,although one of my PP s wont change his shell at all..grrr lol get them a coconut shell or something similar for a hide. liz

yeah Im on Ab Crab, Iv got a couple for now, but plan on getting more. Ive got most of the essentials now(despite being mis-sold at 1st by a local shop). Just need a few more shells and some play sand. I havent been pinched yet but Im sure its only a matter of time.

lol. im always on there, its great aint it although i end up spending loads..lol. I had my first surface moult acouple of weeks back and i nearly died of panic, it was awful, luckily my others have decided to do it " proper" lol I really want them to come back up though so i can move them, i keep looking at this bigger tank and sighin to myself...pmsl .

dont know if this is any help but Im selling an old tank & stand on the cheap, it isnt very attractive but it will do a job. Its on the classified section somewhere.

ive got the new tank i just cant move them till they come back up.. get it on ebay, free listings start tomorrow for 10 days!! im going to start to declutter n get bits on there.lol

I have 3 of them. They are quite interesting.

Someone might be able to help- I always struggle to get shells the right size. One of mine wont change and the other 2 haven't changed for a while. Seems all the shells I get are the same size or too big.

hi id go on ab crab, take a photo of your crabs at the side of a 50 p and im sure they will be able to tell you which size to get. Like i said my big PP he has never changed his shell, hes just stuck in his old ways lol. Have you tried boiling up your old shells in some dechlorinated water , ive been told sometimes refreshing them up can help. Im going to do the same with mine and get some ordered from ab crab. :)

Yeah I've tried that, do it every so often. We have a water filter too take the chlorine out. Thanks, I'll try that site.
