Hello,

I've recently started a creative design agency offering:

Web Design
Web Development
Design for Print (e.g. Business Cards, Flyers, Signage etc)
Design for e-marketing (e.g. Newsletters, E-flyers etc)

Over the past few months I have never advertised my company as I have been looky enough to receive all of my work through referrals from existing clients.

So, I'm now looking to grow my business and start getting my name out their..BUT...I'm wondering how best to advertise?

Your thoughts/feedback on the following would be appreciated...

Sheffield Star
Google AdWords
E-mail marketing
Cold calling

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly received...

Chris

Searching for clients using the internet keywords SEO etc? Web design without that
is very limited in value.

As a general rule of thumb (as far as ive experienced) if your wanting to advertise your website do it online, generally paper adverts are good but you will get more business (generally) using the same funds online. Try advertising on the sheff star website instead of the paper.

Google AdWords
If done correctly can be low cost and good. Use the google keyword tool and choose the best words to price ratio.

E-mail marketing
Not great as your already "pestering" your potential customer

Cold calling
no no no! such a bad idea, have you ever had a cold call you've bought from?

of cause these are just my views but for best results do some SEO on your website. This is by far the best way to generate traffic and sales for free. Ive been doing seo on my site for approx 6 month now and its really starting to pay off now and i no longer use any adverts etc.
