You've probably discussed this already but i'm quite excited about the hotel/apartment development on Leopold Street.

Info here http://sccplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/press/news/aRelease.asp?akey=1724&Mon=01/03/2004

Our company will be doing some works on this development soon. I think it will be a gem of a development once finished.

Trying to find more up-to-date info on this without much success.

Thanks.

You can see my point though can't you.

A thread reaches 4/5 pages when something negative is being discussed.

Yet something as great as this gets 3 replies (2 being myself)

I appreciate this subject has been discussed in length previously but just wanted to remind all the pesimists that there are still good things in the pipeline.

Maybe i'm too much of an optimist?

I think it will be a great development and will tie the City Hall tram stops further into the town centre.

I am interested in the development, not just because of the obvious advantages, but also because I work next door to it!

here is the website for it:

www.leopoldsq.com

I think this is a wonderful development, the kind that really helps to strengthen a city's identity because we are retaining our architectural heritage for a modern purpose rather than building a bland modern building to house bars etc.

Should provide a great setting for visitors to shows at the refurbished city hall- they can eat drink and sleep next door in leopold square. I'm very optimistic about this development

Nice find.

Me and the missus will definately be booking a Saturday night in the new hotel (even though we live in Sheffield)

Seriously though. Why go away for the weekend when you can go into town (or elsewhere) for a meal, few drinks in town and shack up back at the classy hotel.

Saves on petrol anyhow
