Hi, my fella has finally decided to make a honest woman of me.. yey!

We have both decided end of july 2011 (sounds so long away) as i want to lose weight and save for the perfect dress and venue!

I was thinking the 30th as this is a saturday but then means we get a hot august honeymoon... Do I book now or wait?

I know its a long time away but im not sure if I need to book my date to avoid dissapointment or not?

Any advice would be great

I'd suggest booking your venue as soon as possible. If it's a popular venue then it can get booked up on popular dates very quickly.

I too would agree - book as early as possible. We already have quite a few bookings for 2011.... the early-bookers are those people that don't want to be dissappointed!

Totally agree with the above, we waited way too late to start looking at venues. Take your time look round them all and you'll find the one which is right for you!

I'd say first of all, as you have such a long time. Over the next few weeks, make an appointment to visit all the venue's you have in mind, and may be some suggestions from others just to get a good idea. Then when you have the ones you really love, visit them for a meal one evening and check out the atomosphere and then you will know for sure your mind wont change! We changed our minds after finding out all the niggly little bits about a particular venue and weighing things up against another. Good luck in your planning x

I agree, book now! We booked our wedding for March 2011 in March this year. I think once that its booked you can relax for a bit, knowing that the biggest thing is sorted! Good luck x
