What do people think should be done with this guy, he is obviously breading dissention and as a cleric is likely to be preaching this to his congregation. Should be allowed to air such views or should he be silenced in some way?
IMO if we locked him up he would just become a martyr for his cause and people would be more likely to rally round him. His obvious hatred for Tony Blair and George Bush are apparent, and by refusing to cooperate with police and by not condemning Osama Bin Laden should be evidence enough. The last thing we want is for people to start mimicking his actions.
As he is Syrian-born, I think the answer would be to revote his citizenship and send him back. I know the Syria doesn't have to take him but why should we be lumbered with people like this? Not only do they cause hatred, but they tarnish the Muslim faith to all non-Muslims.
