Not sure that the kennels will travel from Essex to Sheffield area to do home checks.

As you say there are already active groups rehoming retired greyhounds in the local area.

I know RGT have an active Sheffield group, sure there are others but cannot think of the names at the moment.

We have two retired greyhounds and they make fabulous pets.

It is a long way away, but often organisations do use home checkers in different areas or "borrow" home checkers from different rescues etc so it may not be impossible, but it is obviously much easier to meet, assess and bring home the dog if it is in your own area.

The greyhound stadium at Hull has recently closed too - so more greyhounds wanting homes nearer to this area.
