Have seen Police around Charnock (White Ln, Charnock Hall Rd & nr Charnock Primary) yesterday and today, anybody know whats been going on.

I don't know, but maybe they are having a blitz on the hooligan motorcyclists?

I was going to ask this question as when I came out of the junction where the Cutlers is this tea time, a riot van and three police cars went past all with thier lights and sirens on heading in the direction of lightwood.

what time was this because there was a riot van van and couple of cars on charnock hall road at 2.45pm. no sirens - just sat there as if waiting for someone or something.

It was 10 past four, I remember cos i went to Jacksons and got back just as Richard and Judy came on at 4:30.

I have now heard that a road on Base Green was closed off on Wednesday for some reason so I assume its something to do with that.

The first thing that came to my mind when reading this was maybe the kids from Birley school were causing havoc.

They broke up at 1pm this afternoon.

Just a thought :)

Apparently, police removed an illegal weapon from a car that'd been dumped there.

From what ive gathered anyway.
