We will be moving up to Sheffield soon and will probably be ravenous by that stage. We love Afro-Carribean food and seafood. Anywhere we should specifically check out? Does Sheffield have a Nando's restaurant, because we also have a documented addiction to peri-peri.

We've had a Nandos for a couple (?) of years now - it's on West Street. No idea about afro-caribbean food, but there are a couple of seafood restaurants around Hunters Bar/Sharrowvale Road (the Mediterranean and Blue Fin). The Mediterranean always used to be good, though I haven't been for ages, but I've not been to Blue Fin. I'm sure someone will have more answers than me though...!

There a few websites listing restaurants in Sheffield, one of them being on the BBC South Yorkshire web pages - think it's called Greedy Cow.

For Afro-Caribbean food UK Mamas in Broomhill. Does takeaway too and they're pretty friendly. Great doughballs. For sushi (and teppanyaki) Wasabi Sabi on London road - usd to be The Mango Tree which was Carribbean - don't know if that opened anywhere else. Wasabi is fairly pricy for Teppanyaki - not tried the sushi there yet as I prefer the see it and eat it conveyor belts of Yo! which we don't have in Sheffield. Shame...but it took them long enough to get Starbucks and then we get four so maybe Yo! will catch on too.
