Got here safe with Arthur the weekend before, been sooo busy here forgot look on here!

Until late last night, the last 10 days have been scortching hot, hard to go out in the day....but when me, Kathleen and Arthur do, he gets a swim in the river Elbe, or one of the many streams or ponds around here, he is finding the weather a little hot...like me!!

He was fine with the 900 mile drive, we didnt go to Italy, Milan first, we came straight to Dresden, i changed the route at the last minute, and im glad i did!!

I do have to drive to Milan this week, its only a 1000 mile drive, there for a day, then back to Dresden, im staying here longer than planned, which Arthur will be happy with!! He loves the meats here, he cant get enough, and he refuses to eat his own dog food, always wants what me and Kat are having.

This part of Dresden is pretty posh, so lots of old people with dachhunds, poodles, terriers inc yorks terriers...and Arthur isnt keen on them!! he has found a boy dog he likes, but the other dog doesnt like Arthur!!!

He settled in the apartment straight away, hes a little scared of Kats 2 guinea pigs..but thats it.

If things goto plan, im back in England middish Sept, for just a few weeks or so then move out here permantly. Things are going that well here for me(and him!)

I've seen the photos on facebook Jules, and it seems to be doing you both the world of good! You both look so happy!

thanks everyone, me and Arthur have fallen in love with Dresden, a city i have known for many years, and Kat is great, i feel alive again for the first time in months..

Have to see how things work out long term, but at the moment taking each day at time, and its GREAT waking up happy each morning :D

He had a walk by the stream this morning, just seconds from the apartment, hes as happy if not more happier than me...

Am jealous!! You see how things can turn round Jules. Am so pleased. Hugs to Arthur, the little tyke xx

thanks everyone, things are going that well, i was due to visit other friends had should have left Dresden by now, but i dont, i stay here until early Sept....things are going that well, and Kat doesnt even want me to leave to go back to England for a month to empty the house....

Kat jokes, that the woman in the bakers where i got each morning, for fresh breadcakes, really likes me, as she smiles, ways and shouts hello to me, which Kat said, Germans dont do to each other!! Met all her family, and they like me too, and it feels like home, even so soon, and last night caught up with a old friend i hadnt seen for a few years.

Arthur is just about used to the heat here, but a swim in the river or streams soon cools him down!!!
