Brilliant, it was better than some films I've watched.
Shame about the bloody adverts every 10 minutes though.

View Full Version : How good was last nights C.S.I. ! nick2 20-07-2005, 08:01 Brilliant, it was better than some films I've watched. Shame about the bloody adverts every 10 minutes though. Lianndi 20-07-2005, 08:03 To quote my sheffield friends - it was 'reet' good i nearly cried when they opened that box to get pancho out..but i found the end a bit anti-climatic...what do you think? nick2 20-07-2005, 08:13 I honestly expected Nick to die, it was the series finale and perhaps he wanted to leave the show. I was a bit confused as to why the coffin started to crack and the ants got in. But it was "edge of your seat" stuff. willman 20-07-2005, 08:37 'cos he shot the light out & obviously created a weak spot. the wife asked me the same thing. best way to get round the ads, use sky+ & then u only get small interruptions& watching both episodes likewise was sooper. Plain Talker 20-07-2005, 08:46 I'm pigged off.. i missed it. i didn't know that they were going to show it so soon after last week's 'cancellation' :( I have to confess to having more of a thing for Griss more than George Eads' character, but... what a storyline! PT nick2 20-07-2005, 09:14 Originally posted by willman 'cos he shot the light out & obviously created a weak spot. Oh yeah, I never thought of that. Lianndi 20-07-2005, 10:57 I totally agree PT Gruesome Grissom is 'deeee' best - have you seen him in any of his younger roles - definitely James Bond material..those legs hmmm lol Seriously now, he has that strong silent - i'm too clever for my own good yet i am cool' thing going eh No wonder 'Sara' is/was in lurve clogginchris 20-07-2005, 16:04 I've never watched CSI before, and only watched it last night because Quentin had directed it. I thought it was great, and can't believe it was the lat inthe series! nick2 20-07-2005, 16:17 You can get the first few series on DVD now, go for it, their great. Snook 20-07-2005, 17:05 It was very entertaining, although the story was a bit weak, especially the ending. Although talented, Tarentino has to be one of the most over-rated directors in film history. PT I taped it. If you've got a VCR PT I'll bring the video on Sunday & u can have a Griss fest :P As for Tarantino I have no idea how he rates as a director in the scheme of things but it's one v dark mind that can torment itself with planning a storyline like that one. The last scene, particularly the very last still/shot (whatever you call it), mangled my head & made my stomach turn way more than trying to empathise with the CSI characters up to that point :gag: Cranberry 21-07-2005, 12:34 Very good double episode and must have been fun for the actors. The doc and his sidekick having a chance to drop their serious, constipated personas - although seem to remember the doc admitted, in an earlier episode, to visiting a lap dancing club regularly. Stokes must have enjoyed the chance to show his acting range a bit more than usual - the coffin bit of course, the scenes at the end and especially the changing room scene where him and Brookes had their chance to do a Travolta and Jackson tribute. What was the point of the board game - light relief surely and a nod to QT's love of them. Why didn't Catherine have a bit more to do - it was all serious from her, where were the one liners and the looks? John Saxon was the baddy - reminded me of the role he played in Battle beyond the Stars except that in CSI he lacked the spare parts. nick2 21-07-2005, 13:05 Originally posted by Cranberry VJohn Saxon was the baddy - reminded me of the role he played in Battle beyond the Stars except that in CSI he lacked the spare parts. Yes, now I remember him, gawd, that was a bad film, but very entertaining. Plain Talker 21-07-2005, 18:20 Originally posted by Siān I taped it. P "A grissfest! yeah! gimmee gimmee gimmee! lol " T absynthfairy 26-07-2005, 10:17 Did the actor who plays Grissam die not long back or did I dream that? I once dreamt that Zack from Saved by The Bell had died and believed myself for years. willman 26-07-2005, 10:58 hope not as far as i am aware william peterson is still alive & kicking. |
