When has it become ok for Sheffield Homes to let out a one bed bungalow for 4 people. 2 are teenagers 16 and 19 and the other 2 are over 40.
The 2 teenagers live in it around 50% of the year while the ones over 40 go away to a caravan to stay.
The bungalows are for over 40's.

So is there a need to complain as it does not seem fair?

If they're subletting the bungalow to their children (or anybody, for that matter) then they are probably in breach of their tenancy. You could try ringing up to ask where and to whom you should report such a breach.

It might be best to check up on the facts first, though.

It is awkward because the older guy works at Sheffield Homes. I cannot understand where they all sleep. They are brother and sister and the elders are grandparents. Surely i would have thought some kind of law was being broken but i am not getting much help from Sheffield homes when i speak to them

Are the youngsters causing some sort of problem to other residents? If not, why are you so concerned about the situation?

The bungalow will be let to one or both of the couple who are over 40. From what you say, it sounds as if they let their grandchildren stay in it when they go away. If the young people staying causes problems - anti social behaviour, noise nuisance etc, then Sheffield Homes should get involved and take action. If they aren't any problems - there's no issue really. We're all entitled to have friends or family to visit. If all 4 live there permanently, then they would be overcrowded, but from what you say, it would appear the young ones are there temporarily. If thats the case, what do you think is unfair?

They all live there permanently, the bungalows are for over 40's. They do cause a noise nuisance.
6 years waiting time to bid and get a place next to teenagers when the impression that they was let out to over 40 year olds is in my view not right some how.

It wasn't clear from your earlier posts that they all live there permanently. In that case the tenants are possibly breaking their tenancy agreement. If you are suffering from unacceptable levels of noise, then Sheffield Homes will expect you to keep details of what and when it happens before they will take it any further. If you have already done this but haven't got anywhere, speak to one of your local councillors and explain what effect the noise is having on you and ask him/her to take the case up on your behalf. Which area of Sheffield do you live in?

I feel as though no one believes me at the moment, and i have been through what you advised but i have not approached my local councillor. I am in Darnall.

It might be worth finding out if any other neighbours have a similar problem, more than one of you would add weight to your complaint. You could also have a word with your TARA reps.

Perhaps you should contact one of your local councillors - the three for Darnall are :
