View Full Version : Please open this link and i defy you not to get your pet neutered seadog 09-08-2009, 21:38 http://www.dogpages.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=205898 A rescue video showing dogs in pounds. Saffy 10-08-2009, 07:11 What's it about? I don't like opening just links. seadog 10-08-2009, 08:12 The link is a youtube application that in my personal opinion should be used as a prime time tv advert for the pet/rescue cause magsie 10-08-2009, 08:29 You're so right again Seadog. It beggars belief that there are so many unneutered animals out there. I bang on about it all the time but the message is just not getting through and needs hard hitting media coverage using links such as this one. Saffy 10-08-2009, 08:34 Ah ok .. thanks ... sniff .. I couldn't watch it all as I'm about to go to work and don't want my make up all down my face. Totally agree though and I've posted it to my facebook profile. seadog 10-08-2009, 08:53 Thamks saffy and mags If enough people crosspost this then it may at least save one animal we just need to keep plugging whether it be an elephant or a goldfish x Plain Talker 10-08-2009, 09:03 See my Sigline... "Be a responsible owner, have your pets chipped and neutered, Please!" I am not an advocate of banning "any" breeding at all, but the breeding of animals, indiscriminately, without a thought of where they will go, whether they will be cared for adequately, and how many offspring they might produce, if not neutered, really riles me. It breaks my heart to see these animals with death-sentences hanging over their heads, through no fault of their own. FallenAngel6 10-08-2009, 09:54 I would never buy a bred animal, i have always said when ever we get a pet be it a dog or a cat or rabbit, we will always rehome. Im hoping and praying that one day i'll get where i want to with this rescue home i want to start. Just trying to find my footing, at least that way i'll be able to save some animals. They're getting punished for our mistakes, it sickens me. CHEZZFAYE 10-08-2009, 17:17 instead of puting the dogs down destroy the ideots that breed them. sorry if you think this is harsh but in the past 5 years i have took on many rescues which i have reabilitated and rehomed now im hoping they are all ok. also i feel i have to make this point if the rescue centers loosened the restrictions a bit there would be a lot less animals in this position Moonbird 10-08-2009, 20:02 What's it about? I don't like opening just links. No me either Saffy! Sorry seadog I know that you mean well but please put some sort of description along with the link so that people know what they are going to see and whether to open it, it is against forum rules to post just a link. Very sad that so many beautiful animals end up in such a sad situation when it could be so easily avoided, the cost of neutering is not much when you weigh it up against the long life span of a dog or cat, and it would save so many unwanted animals meeting a sad, lonely, and needless fate at the end of a vets needle :( |
