News that Lee Williamson has a persistant back problem which looks like it needs surgery ,begs the Question , How did he pass a medical when he signed for the blades for £500,000 this summer ?
Surely the Blades should have spotted this ?

He probably told Blackwell that Wednesday were watching him which was enough for KB to get the cheque-book out!!!!

i hate to admit it however its a very fair point how did he pass a medical ? if its was a free fair enough but half a million quid beats me, and after watching last night we deffo need a presence in the middle of the park instead of the two midgets in the middle. Quinn and Monty deffo dont work and France has never seen the right wing never mind been a right winger.

early days and point more than this stage last season so UP THE BLADES !!

For your information Benny if you are going to keep on using 'facts' in your sig at least make an effort to make sure thay are factual

Londons first double decker buses were introduced

Buses have been used on the streets of London since 1829, when George Shillibeer started operating his horse drawn omnibus service from Paddington to the city. In 1850 Thomas Tilling started horse bus services,[2] and in 1855 the London General Omnibus Company or LGOC was founded to amalgamate and regulate the horse-drawn omnibus services then operating in London.[3]

LGOC began using motor omnibuses in 1902, and manufactured them itself from 1909. In 1904 Thomas Tilling started its first motor bus service. The last LGOC horse-drawn bus ran on 25 October 1911, although independent operators used them until 1914.[4]

Yes he did but no one saw it until 1926 (so was it the first tv transmitter) and the first proper one was not until 1927

please get your 'facts' right before having a dig but its not as much fun as to make facts up is it

To be honest i agree- surely this is something that should have been picked up in a medical- then again- you never know- it might have been?

if it was spotted in the medical -its a massive gamble by United ,signing a player, knowing he has a persistant back problem .

Don't jump the gun and Troll

READ WHATS BEEN SAID

KEVIN Blackwell admits he could be forced to enter the transfer market IF Lee Williamson, his £500,000 summer signing from Watford, requires surgery to cure a back injury.

The Sheffield United manager raised the possibility of drafting in a replacement on loan after confirming that surgeons have warned that the bulging disc which prevented Williamson from making his debut at Middlesbrough last week could rule him out until November.

Evidently the Persistent Back Injury was sustained in Malta

NOT an old Injury

Losing Williamson, believed to have sustained the damage during the club's pre-season tour of Malta, is a major blow given that Blackwell had identified him as the player capable of dictating direction and tempo - a vacancy which has existed since Gary Speed was diagnosed with a similar problem last year.
