they arn't actually closing down....only for referb, still the stuff is cheap..... but it always has been/will be.
the stuff like england football and other team shirts , seemed to have only been knocked down by a quid or so.
Being re-furbed and re-named.. as is the one in Meadowhall :D
Got worried there for a bit, thought they were shutting Decathlon.. :loopy:
I use Decathlon quite a bit for Karate supplies such as belts, hand mitts etc.
are they really only closing the one in meadowhell for refurb? the signs outside certainly imply its closing down permanently. or maybe thats the idea... :)
either way, definately some good savings on jeans especially.

All the shops are changing to Sports world.....the same as the one in the new drakehouse retail park.
My step daughter works there part time(doing her a levels rest of time) and she says that they are not allowed to tell anyone who asks if thay are really closing down, they just have to play dumb!! and say they don't know anything!!!
Kirky,
They are doing the same with the branch at Parkgate and we went last week and got a bit of kit and will be going again as the missus wants some more holiday gear and I could do with a new pair of trainers for the traditional "cant you tell they are brits going on holiday look " at the airport as everyone strolls about in their new Donnay gear. !!
With regards the new name, I didnt know what they were going to be told but we got the heads up alert last week as we got served at the till and the girl told us they were going to re open with a different name.
I thought it a little strange that for a store that has been advertising a closing down sale for a few weeks now, it looked as full of stock as it usually does.
The customers will surely notice this too and realise it is simply a sales gimmick but as you quite rightly mentione, if you look in the right places you can get stuff with a few quid off.
If you've bought a load of Donnay gear, I apologise now as you might come round our end looking for me.
They must recruit the same staff at Parkgate as at the Moor because the till staff are so slow.
I hate it when they are that slow because my missus works on a till in a school canteen and she always comes out with the line, "they wouldn't last 10 minutes at our place."
