The Build up to the game!

What are the thoughts of Blackwells signings??

Ive heard that Blackwell is starting Billy Sharp up front on his own!? Why?

At the moment I'm struggling to see us getting anywhere this season, Ive never heared of most players we have, hope im wrong. I just don't know.:confused:

The first game will will give us a idea of what standard of play we will have for the season, I want us up this season.

ah 'the man in the pub' - he knows everything that guy!! think you'll at least get a draw, doubt any of the relegated teams are going to be on a high ... maybe west brom gettin the best start of the 3

I thought West Brom would do well but they have had a very dodgy pre season.
I have now turned my attention to Cardiff who look like they have a big chance this time around.
They will probably end up getting relegated now i have said that lol.

i meant west brom look best out of the relegated teams but yeh cardiff and derby are the best backed teams and ipswich as an outside chance but i got an inkling for Notts Forest, they've spent well and got a manager who's done it b4 in this league

i really fancy west brom and cardiff for automatic promotion this season . i also expect QPR to mount a serious challange this season

i'd usually say my ideal footy scenario is having the Wednesday at the top of the Premiership (or whatever league we are in at the time) with United in 2nd as that would be so exciting (too exciting for some!) but this season im sick to death with Unitedites rambling on about SWFC, BL and LS and hope they cock it up, big time ... so yes i hope this happens and maybe a red card for France on debut then we'll see Blackwell really snap!!!

i think they'll scrape a draw and we'll get a cheeky little 2-0 against the Tykes

This isn't me being unrealistic or optomistic but United will WIN at boro friday night providing we have Ched Evans fit and up to scratch, regardless of what you say Boro aren't a good team and are of Championship quality and are lickable by any standards.

I'm going for a 1-2 to the blades Friday night.

As for Wednesday, yes they should beat Barnsley by all means so I reckon a good start for Sheffield all round. 3-1 wednesday seems an adequate scoreline to me in that game.

Yeah, it's not like the time when we signed those 'household names' Brian Deane and Tony Agana pre-season is it?

They didn't turn out too bad for being previously unheard of, did they...?

what about when we signed two youngsters from man city (was it?) called tonge and jagielka, whilst one wasnt as good as the other. jags has now been in the england squad and is a regular for everton (injury not withstanding)

sometimes you have to take a chance, also if you have a name for yourself it could mean you have had your career.

Funny that, most of the summer it's been Wednesdayites rambling on about SUFC, KB and KM... depends which tint you've got on your specs I guess :)

Good luck to all, and just hope the derbies go by without any significant refereeing decisions spoiling the games... and that whoever the blades manager is at the time, they actually make sure the proper team turns up this time.

That new announcement regarding red cards and the length of bans reflecting the injuries received could have a significant effect this season...!

Hoping we nick something on Friday, but expecting Boro 2 Blades 0.

evans isn't fully fit i think.

I think it could go either way- we either play them off the park- or we get stuffed by a far superior side- hhmm- i think its better that were away (we play better away) and that we still can;t be sure of our team selection (keep them guessing).

sneaky 2-1 to the blades.

I will be in champs if anyone fancys a beer tomm night :D
