Not Sheffield football I know, but of interest to Sheffield football fans?
How do you think Man City will fare this season, and do you genuinely wish that your club had just got the investment that City have got? If Wednesday or United did get this sort of investment and won the Premiership in say 5 years time, would you gloat like hell and shout your gobs off worldwide ....... or would you have a different outlook?
I know where I stand on it, I'd just like other members thoughts.

As regards City's league position, I think they might just make the top 6.

Theoretically they should be in with a decent shout but the managers has too many players egos to manage. I can see one or two jumping ship if they do not get a game very often, despite the stupid money they are earning

Would you like Wednesday/United to buy success in this way?
Would you gloat, or feel something else entirely?

Its okay having a chariman like that, but happens if he gets board and walks away, or fancies selling and buying a different club. The money coming in at City is nowhere near enough then to pay the players. You also have to look at Liverpool as well, their owners have taken loans out and have to renegotiate a couple of times already. What happens if their other companies make a big loss and the cannot keep the instalment going. So it may be okay for a few years but I think I would be happier having someone in charge at the club whos heart and soul is in the club, unlike the two clubs mentioned

That's the trouble with these teams, most of them will be back to being also rans in the next few years.
About as much future as an ice cube in the desert (almost).

A lot of my mates are Man City fans due to growing up in South Manchester. They really don't care what people think if they buy the title. They say they've been through enough bad times with City that they deserve some success however it may come. Afterall, the top teams buy the title anyway. It's the only way to win it unfortunately.
